Required Items List 2012
- Military style uniforms, comfortable, loose fitting,
appropriate for hiking and force on force training. (Suitable for hot
weather training) NO shorts
- Tactical or Hiking boots (must be broken in and have tread)
- Binoculars (optional)
- Watch
- Large capacity water hydration system
- Backpack or other load bearing system for lunches
- Boonie hat
- Compass and/or GPS (Garmin Rhino 520 is preferred)
- Pencil
- Paper or pocket note pad
- Tape measure (small)
- Knee pads
- Gloves
- Sunscreen
- Camo stick/compact
- Sunglasses or safety glasses/goggles
- Seasonally appropriate underwear, and outerwear (Cold
Wear is common)
- Sleeping bag or blankets
(Cold Wear is common)
- Sleeping pad / pillow
- Personal hygiene products
/ towel
- Good quality flashlight & additional batteries or
charger.
- Night vision (optional) with head harness or helmet
mount
- Sidearm w/ duty belt
- Long rifle or shotgun
with sling.
- 100 rounds of practice

- Tracking Stick (Ski pole, or 40” wooden dowel) You can purchase a tracking stick at Wal-Mart for
$10
We recommend you arrive Sunday afternoon as we will
begin Sunday afternoon (Approx 5 PM). You should plan to be in the field from Sunday night
until Wednesday around 4 PM.
Please report to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office (76 N Main St, Kanab)
for transportation and/or directions to the training site. 37°15'35.77"N 112°24'42.86"W
Cell phones may not work in the training area. If you
need to be contacted during your training time please have them contact the
Kane County Sheriff’s office at 435-644-2349.
This training site is in remote Kane County and
students will stay at the primitive campsite throughout the training. Please
bring adequate sleeping and personal gear.
DUE
TO PARKING RESTRICTION. Students are NOT allowed to bring RVs or Campers, all
students will be expected to used tents that are provided. Bring an RV or Camper
and you will be turned away.
