Kane County Sheriff Tactical Tracking Team
The Kane County Sheriff's Office Tactical Tracking Team was started
in 2001 after the Four Corners incident. The tracking team consists of
officers from the Kane County Sheriff's Office, Kanab City Police Dept
and the Fredonia Marshal's Office.
The team has conducted real world fugitive tracks as well as search & rescue tracks.
In 2006 the Kane County Sheriff's Office began a
tactical tracking course. We have trained officers from the US Marshal's
Office, US Border Patrol, US Bureau of Indians Affairs Law Enforcement ,
National Park Service as well as State, County and Local law Enforcement
Agencies from Arizona, Utah, California, Oregon, Colorado and Texas.
The 2010 Tracking Class will be
conducted Oct 11th 12th & 13th in Kanab UT.
The 2010 course fee is $300 and
includes all meals and lodging.
